For AC-GTAW of Aluminum Alloys,... most of the significant advances focus on new ways to manipulate the AC wave form. These advances largely result from using inverter-based power sources, which allow a welder to extend the balance control, adjusting output frequency and independently controlling current in each AC halt cycle. New inverter-based GTAW machines extend EN balance control, allowing duration from 50 to 90 percent. Making the EN portion of the cycle last longer:* Allows greater weld penetration* May permit increasing travel speeds by as much as 20 percent.* Narrows the weld bead* May permit using a smaller-diameter tungsten electrode to more precisely direct the heat or deposit a narrower weld bead Machine runs on 33.3-hp., liquid-cooled Isuzu 3LDI engine. A 65-hp. rated hydrostatic transmission is equipped with servo control to reduce pedal effort in forward and reverse travel modes. Loader boasts 3,400-lb. breakout force and 2,100-lb. lift capacity. Maximum loading height is 90 ins. Bucket holds 1/2 cu. yd. Ideal for construction, utility, landscaping, and other small or medium earthmoving applications. Ingersoll introduced its 7000 Series Loader/Backhoe at EXPO 2001. The 7020LBH is a compact 4-wheel-drive tractor designed and built from the ground up as a dedicated loader backhoe. Engineered as an integral part of the tractor and frame, the loader has heavy-duty lift arms with a reinforced bucket for maximum strength and single-lever control operation. The loader bucket''s lift capacity is 750 pounds at full height. The backhoe is coupled to the tractor via mounting arms that are connected to a counter weight for optimum performance. It offers a 92-inch digging depth with joystick controls and a selection of buckets from 8 to 24 inches. The tractor is powered by a 20-hp. Kohler engine. It has a hydraulic drive through a 2-speed transaxle controlled by a foot pedal. Required dutyThe first light towers built were installed on rescue trucks and have evolved into being used on pumper and aerial trucks. Light towers are available from 3kw to 9kw using halogen or metal halide lights. Proper lighting is essential for emergency scene safety, where being seen is just as critical as being able to see. Lighting often is taken for granted because most training is done during daytime hours. Lighting should be put in to service automatically.
