* I use a 15-kilowatt PTO Onan generator to run the house during extended power outages. I bought it used last year for $1,100. I also have a 4.5-kilowatt engine-driven generator with welder capabilities.* I bought a Generac 45/60-kilowatt PTO generator for my hog farm because I got tired of my electric company not wanting to replace a fuse in a timely manner.* We use two Onan 45-kilowatt generators with Ford engines. They have been very reliable. They cost $15,000 each, plus $1,000-$2,000 for switches, and even more for installation and hookup. It is expensive, but we need the large kilowatt output to power 2 acres of greenhouse production. Cold Weather--The temperature of surrounding air is critical for proper brick installation. No brick structure should be ever done when the air temperature is below 28[degrees]F (when temperatures are rising), or 32[degrees]F (when they''re falling). The air temperature must be measured at the point of installation. No frozen materials should be used. On a warm day, bricks should be wet just prior to being laid. However, when the air temperature is at or near freezing, the brick must be thoroughly dry. Laying brick in freezing weather seriously affects the strength of the brick construction. The term ''refractory'' can apply to a plastic or a castable type material. According to ASTM C-64 there are five basic categories of plastic refractory (high duty fireclay, super duty fireclay, 60 percent alumina, 70 percent alumina, and 80 percent alumina). A plastic (meaning molded, or shaped) material will be made from either fireclay or alumina, with the rest made of other materials. According to ASTM C-64 there are two classifications for castable refractory. Either it is an alumina-silica base or an insulating type refractory. Though light in weight, Airbor magnetic drill has a powerful 1.6-hp air motor and 1,600-lb magnetic holding strength. With its extra rack, stroke length is extended to 10 1/4 in. Annular cutter capacity is up to 2 1/16 in. diam. Geared chuck adapter converts the unit to a standard drill press. The Slugger Air Force pneumatic drill, at 24 lbs, 6 1/4" high, is useful for confined area drilling. The drill''s features include a permanent magnet that turns on or off by air power, a cutter capacity of up to 1 1/16" diameter x 3/4" depth and the ability to use ShortSlugger cutters and frame cutters. These cutters'' geometry allows the operator to drill multi-layered truck frames in a single pass.
